CONSULTATION SERVICES FOR PROFESSIONALS

Individual Consultation

Dr. Carbonell offers individual consultation on all matters related to the professional treatment of anxiety disorders, including:

  • clinical skill building

  • case consultation

  • marketing and developing this niche practice

Dr. Carbonell is available for consultation in either Illinois office and by telephone. His consultation fee is $145 per hour, prorated to the amount of time you want. Dr. Carbonell also offers an introductory consultation rate, for the first consultation only, of $50 for 30 minutes.

Telephone Consultation Group

Dr. Carbonell also offers the Anxiety Coach® Seminar. This is a monthly teleconference meeting led by Dr. Carbonell. It is specifically designed for clinicians who want to upgrade their skills in the treatment of anxiety disorders, and who also want a collegial place in which to consult about issues related to practice development.

The Seminar is a small group, no more than eight, which meets once a month in a teleconference call. The content of the Seminar will vary over time, but focuses on the following components.

  • Consultation regarding cases of clients with anxiety disorders.

  • Training in specialized treatment methods

  • Assistance and consultation with the development, marketing, and maintenance of this specialty practice.

  • Networking with other therapists with similar interests, outside of your geographic area.

  • How to develop specialized group programs for the fear of flying, stagefright, and other anxiety niches.

The Seminar is intended for therapists who want to use cognitive behavioral, strategic, paradoxical, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) methods of treatment in their work with clients presenting anxiety disorders. Therapists who prefer to use other methods of treatment, or to work with other types of disorders, are encouraged to look elsewhere for consultation resources, as this Seminar will not be satisfying to them.
